Oct. 9, 2024—Kroger celebrated its grand re-opening of the Kroger Marketplace Towne Lake location on Oct. 4 by providing a $500 gift card to Anthony Middle School.
The funds are for a “teacher breakroom takeover” to provide treats and snacks for Anthony staff.
“We wanted to include Anthony Middle School since we have worked with them in the past,” said Shayna Barrett, Kroger corporate affairs manager. “They’re a huge community partner of ours and we want to make sure that we’re able to support them.”
Dr. Vivian Bennett, Anthony principal, said she appreciated the gift.
“Anthony Middle School values community partnerships that enhance our learning environment, and we are honored to have participated in the re-grand opening of the Towne Lake Kroger!” she said. “This gesture is a wonderful show of appreciation of the staff’s hard work and dedication to the students in the CFISD community.”
