The National Family Partnership organized the first nationwide Red Ribbon Campaign® as a way for people and communities to unite and take a visible stand against drugs. The Red Ribbon Campaign®, the largest drug prevention program in the nation, originated in 1985 and uses a visual display of red ribbons as a symbol of intolerance towards the use of drugs.
Along, with celebrating Red Ribbon Week, CFISD is participating in National Bullying Prevention Month, a nationwide campaign founded in 2006 by PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center. The campaign is held during the month of October and unites communities around the world to educate and raise awareness of bullying prevention. We hope you will join us in supporting our students during Red Ribbon Week as well as, Bully Prevention Month.

Upcoming Events
Friday, October 18 from 9-10 a.m.
Counselors will answer questions regarding 4-year plans and endorsements. This is a follow-up meeting to the 8th Grade Parent Meeting that was held on October 17.
We will host our annual Anthony Middle School Veterans Day Celebration on Friday, November 8. This event is being held to honor military service members from Towne Lake Heritage, invited service members of Anthony's students, and staff members who are veterans. Due to limited space, the Veterans Day program is not a public event. Only those service members who have returned a RSVP are invited to attend. Please return the attached form to the counseling office as soon as possible if you have a service member in your family and are able to attend. We look forward to honoring you in person and thank you for your dedication and commitment.
Please RSVP by Friday, November 1. You may also RSVP by sending an email to anthony@cfisd.net. Send us the Veteran's name, branch of service, Veteran's email address and phone number. Please also include if the Veteran requires special accommodations or seating. The Anthony student name(s) is also needed so that we know who the Veteran is connected to.
